We started Lent. So rich and beautiful spiritually. Christians by tradition live this time with fasting, penance and charity. They are not empty actions that we do to fulfill tradition, they are concrete actions that help us prepare and grow spiritually year after year to live with Christ the greatest sacrifice that has been made out of love.

Each Lent is a new time, a beginning that can be very fruitful. Days before, we began to think about what we can offer, what we can "fast." We stop social media, we stop eating sweets, we don't say bad words, among so many things we stop doing. With good intention, worldly things get mixed up in us and we stop doing things not necessarily for the right reasons.

In this Post we want to offer you a list of 40 everyday things that we can do for this lent. Carrying out them will help us to become better people, allowing us to broaden our hearts and our spirits so that Holy Week finds us with hearts willing to accompany the Lord in his pain, and to receive with gratitude and joy the life he has given us.

They are simple and easy actions to do, but not for that unimportant or demanding. May this season of Lent, our hearts grow little by little, day by day.


  1. Call someone instead of texting them.
  2. Do acts of service even and especially with that person with whom you are upset.
  3. Give away an item of clothing that you wear and like
  4. Get up as soon as the alarm goes off
  5. Put your cell phone away when you talk to someone
  6. Express your feelings instead of using an emoji
  7. Invite someone to Mass, even if they are not a believer, even if they reject you.
  8. Do not answer your parents wrong, or roll your eyes
  9. Pray, even if you don't feel it
  10. Donate that coin that you could spend on a chocolate every day.
  11. Buy only what you need
  12. Speak well of people, if you don't have anything good to say better stay silent
  13. Be nice, always.
  14. Start a journal, get to know yourself a little better.
  15. Drink water instead of fizzy drinks.
  16. Start recycling.
  17. Eat all your food, don't waste it, even if you don't like it.
  18. Invite someone who does not have a meal to eat.
  19. Call that friend / family member you haven't known about in a long time.
  20. Pray for the one who hurt you
  21. Change your bad thoughts, renew yourself.
  22. Help with household expenses
  23. Choose 40 people and send them a nice message every day.
  24. Read a book about the life of a saint.
  25. Watch an apostolic movie with your friends and discuss it.
  26. Instead of talking about diet, talk about your feelings. Don't use Lent as an excuse to lose weight.
  27. Ask for forgiveness instead of looking for an excuse when you've made a mistake.
  28. Display a crucifix or religious image
  29. Be patient when driving, forget about offensive words
  30. Visit someone who is sick
  31. Spend time with a friend who is alone
  32. Treat your body with respect and affection
  33. Give away all the sweets that you decided to stop eating
  34. Save the money you spend on sweets and donate it
  35. Ask your family, how was their day
  36. Let yourself be hugged by mom
  37. Tidy up your room, and keep it tidy
