“Young man, get up and be a witness. The Apostle Santiago awaits you» is the motto of this Meeting, which is convened from August 3 to 7, 2022.

Pope Francis, at the end of WYD 2019 in Panama, summoned all young people to a new world conference in Lisbon 2022. For this, he proposed a spiritual itinerary that encourages young people to set out, to seek in Christ the one who gives the answer to the deepest desire of your heart to be happy and thus bear witness to everything you are experiencing. For this, the Holy Father urged young people to meditate on the verses:

• ¡Young man, I say to you, get up!' (Lk. 7,14 - Christ lives', 20)
  for the year 2020.
• 'Get up! I make you a witness of the things you have seen!’
  (Acts 26,16)” for the year 2021.
• "Mary got up and left without delay", extracted from Lc 1,39,
  for the year 2022, the year of the WYD in Lisbon. In this context, the PEJ22 has been planned, not only as a meeting of a few days in Compostela (from August 3 to 7, 2022) but it will be offered to all participating groups the possibility of doing the Camino de Santiago the previous days. For this they have proposed eight different paths, whose entire route will be in Galicia, passing through the four provinces.
  In addition to the typical paths, we are going to offer another path that runs all the way through the Compostela diocese, the one that leaves Fisterra and borders the coast through Cee, Muros and Carnota, and enters through Negreira to Santiago.
