Last October 7th in the chapel of the Madrid-Hortaleza school the Perpetual Profession of M. Isabel Martinez Hernando. Surrounded by many sisters and loved ones, she committed to being faithful to Jesus in our Conceptionist Congregation.
We leave you his testimony and a link where you can also read it and see more images.
Last Saturday (07-10-2023) I made my Perpetual Profession, or what is the same, I told Jesus, in front of the entire Church, that I wanted to follow him, as a nun, forever.
It seems like yesterday when I decided to leave everything for love. In that first year of college I felt that I was in the best moment of my life, and that, even so, something was missing. “Actually, if God calls me to religious life, what can I lose?” he asked me. And I chose between continuing my life the same or letting myself be surprised.
During these years of training I have received much more than I could imagine. The gift of the sisters, of the intercongregational experience, of each child, young person and other people with whom I share the Conceptionist mission... But if there is something that makes me fall in love, it is the promise of God, who is always faithful, loves me, calls me, and invites each day to give him a new yes, letting him do his work. A yes to accompanying him in all the mysteries of his life, which He himself wants to live in me.
I ask for your prayer, so that I can open my heart to everything He asks for, so that I may unite myself more and more with Him every day and, when the time comes, “I can recognize in the King the voice of my Husband who invites me to the eternal wedding” (cf. Prayer of Solemn Blessing, Perpetual Profession Ritual)
