The Chapel of the “La Inmaculada” School in Ponferrada, became a meeting place on September 5, celebration and thanksgiving for the perpetual Profession of our sister Ana Lago Díaz.
There are celebrations that are lived and others that, in addition, they stay in the heart. This is how we lived Ana's profession. The school chapel that saw her grow up hosted her final delivery accompanied by family, nuns, teachers, former students and friends.
Everything in the celebration spoke of vocation. the word "Let it be done" acquired a special prominence. From the Tabernacle, passing through the Risen Christ and reaching the image of Mary, a delicate layout joined by white threads made the path to an answer visible: "Let it be done to me according to your word". It was like contemplating, in a single image, the story of a call and Ana's confident response.
Joy also became music, thanks to a fabulous choir of young conceptionists, whose voices accompanied the liturgy and gave the celebration a festive, rhythmic and deeply prayerful tone.
There was even a moment that brought smiles: The homily, lovingly motivated by the Franciscan religious, Miguel de la Mata, surprised those attending with the symbolism full of meaning: An interrogation and a backpack from which the different elements of a particular "conceptionist kit" emerged. With creativity and depth, each element became an invitation to discover what Ana needs to live her consecration, and make her life a response again. “Let it be done”
The entire Conceptionist family gives thanks for their vocation and their dedication. And we say to him with joy:
